Valentine’s day has been long over but inspired by the fashion world, I wanted to give red-on-red a try. I usually shy away from colours during winter however growing up, in my culture, we wear a lot of colour. My family sometimes question the absence of colour in my winter wardrobe and red is so bold and exciting. Back home, it will be considered a neutral colour. None of our celebrations are complete without this colour and red reminds me of my roots.
I was instantly drawn toward these red wide legged pants from Topshop, (did you see the front zip?!?! so cool!!!). I styled these pants with my current fav red tee from Cotton On and a black biker jacket from Walter Baker (I have to add black somehow, lol!!).
My mules are from Topshop as well. I used to shy away from leopard print and zebra print is something I have never even thought of buying before but these mules are so chic.
Ok, let’s get back to the colour red. If you think red on red is too much for you, you can wear red with a lot of colours like white, black and for more electrifying look, you can wear red with emerald green or mustard.
So go ahead paint the town red this winter!!
